Unboxing Quantum
We’re letting the cat out of the box to share everything weird and wonderful about quantum science and technology. This public seminar series is designed to demystify all things quantum and give you an insider’s perspective on the research—and researchers!—shaping Canada’s quantum field.
Outreach and Public Education
We take pride in the support and training we offer, including opportunities for our community to engage in outreach and develop skills in science communication, teaching, and community building. Our outreach programs benefit our students as well as learners from Kindergarten through Grade 12, and the interested public.
International Ph.D. Program in Quantum Materials
Learn from leaders in quantum materials research in this collaborative Ph.D. program from the University of British Columbia and the Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute and our partners at the University of Stuttgart and the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany.
Student Committee
Find peers, connect with colleagues, and make new friends while at Blusson QMI: our Student Committee is comprised of students who are eager to help those new to Blusson QMI find their way, and to engage with current students to develop positive connections and lasting relationships.
Quantum Pathways
Quantum Pathways is a program specific to the Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute at the University of British Columbia. Blusson QMI offers multi-year summer research scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled in physics, chemistry, or engineering programs and whose backgrounds and identities are underrepresented in the physical sciences and engineering.
